It is a single, segmental arch with double voussoirs which widen at each end. The parapet is straight with cruciform slits. The abutments rise into towers with a single large castellation each. Linking spandrels to abutments, there are quarter circle arches, like sections of a tower, also with a cut in their parapet. These details give it a vaguely military air. The towers have two rows of corbelling and, at their feet, a splayed skirt of looping stone. The wing walls are long, sloping and curved, and finish in square towers. The stone is dark. [1]
