Not only by-passed, but surrounded by the litter of the modern countryside --ugly fencing, ugly buildings, and, when Mr. Nelson [1] it visited before 1990 and also at my visit in 2003, a pile of rotting rolls of straw. It has two segmental arches, battered spandrels, and the parapet, slightly splayed, turning down through a quadrant. [1]
