Comments :
The bridge is a tall, coursed rubble one with a narrow semicircular arch, of 28 feet span and 40 feet high. It has triangular buttresses with square tops and spans a burn where it runs in a gorge with wet boggy sides. The abutments have deep foundations in the rock, foundations which are shown in the drawing continuing in steps below ground, down to the water level. [1]
