The bridge has four spans, two outer ones of pointed masonry arches and two inner ones of Pratt steel trusses. There is a cantilevered walkway on the east side. The road passes through the side arch on the south and this arch has a brick vault. [1] The pedestrian footpath built over the bridge was never opened to public use.
The branch line closed on 28 March 1966 and the bridge remains disused. Now the bridge has a new steel compound girder for use as roadbridge.
